GEM Award

Special Achievement Award

We have collaborated with the PMI TPW leadership team, to establish a recognition scheme for our agency temps. The purpose of the award is to acknowledge agency temps who have gone above and beyond in their temporary assignments, supporting PMI and their colleagues in achieving outstanding results.

Below are the guidelines for the TPW recognition program, designed to help you navigate the options available to you when recognizing the contributions of your agency temps.

The TPW recognition program will be known as The GEM Awards (Gone the Extra Mile) in English and Prix de l’Extra Mile in French.

Minimum Tenure

Agency temps must have a minimum of 12 months of tenure before they become eligible for a recognition award.

Frequency of Reviews

An agency temp is only eligible for one recognition award annually. Multiple applications for recognition awards for the same agency temp are unlikely to be approved.

Value of Award

Agency temps will be eligible for a monetary gesture as part of the recognition program.

The value of each award will be capped at CHF 500.-

The award will be subject to income tax and social security deductions and will be paid as cash through payroll.

In addition to the monetary award, the agency temp will be presented with a certificate by Manpower Switzerland.

Approval Process

All recommendations for recognition awards to agency temps must be approved by your supervisor and your P&C business partner before any communication with the agency temp or Manpower Switzerland is made.

Once written approval is received, please forward it to Manpower Switzerland at either pm.lausanne@manpower.ch or pm.neuchatel@manpower.ch, depending on the location of the agency temp.

If you grant your Agency Temp a GEM award:

  • Please fill in the following form : GEM Award Form
  • Send an email to Manpower team with the requested approval; the amount of the GEM Award and the name of the worker.
  • Manpower will send the Award directly to the Agency Temp as soon as the Engagement Manager informs the employee of this recognition. The Manager has to let Manpower know when the document can be sent to the employee.
  • The Agency Temp will enter the GEM Award amount on the “Premium” line in the Timesheets page on Fieldglass in the given week.
  • The Engagement Manager will approve the Award along with the timesheets.
